On IdeelArt, art collectors will find work from some of the best abstract artists in the world. Whether you are an art lover who’s eager to better understand our curation process, or an abstract artist that is interested in joining our great team, below is all information you need about our selection criteria and the services that we provide to represented artists.

‘Represented’ artists are usually established and mid-career abstract artists who are carefully selected by IdeelArt, exclusively on the basis of the quality and reputation of their artwork. They are not only displayed on IdeelArt, but also actively represented on the web.

While our joining invitation criteria are flexible, represented artists are usually mid-career and established with work already present in famous public/corporate collections, museums, and/or actively represented by at least one reputed gallery.

Also, and probably more importantly,  IdeelArt loves their work and wants to actively promote it to its fan base.

To help with our selection process, we have formed an Advisory Committee made of a number of already represented artists. This committee is consulted as often as necessary. Committee members can comment on any aspect of the selection criteria (style, reputation, educational background, exhibition history, etc) but they will always be requested to provide a view on the quality of the work produced by a candidate.  This ensures consistency in the quality of the art that we display.

Last but not least, before joining, we will visit the artist in his/her studio. In a mostly dematerialised activity, we believe that it is crucial that we know personally each artist that we represent

Represented artists benefit from a large range of digital representation services:

Displayed, promoted and distributed on the web

Our digital marketing, aimed specifically at enhancing the artists’ online visibility, includes:

  • Digital advertising campaigns
  • Presence on Facebook, Twitter and other relevant social media
  • Artists’ news pushed to influential online channels (bloggers, online specialised press, social media, etc.)
  • Online exhibitions.

In addition to the above, we actively display and sell represented artists’ artwork on other reputable marketplaces.

We also monitor online art dictionaries, directories and other informative websites to ensure that the artist is present (where relevant) and correctly represented.

Displayed, promoted and distributed on IdeelArt's platform

IdeelArt manages a selection of at least 20 artwork visuals, and ensures that the artist’s bio, CV and news are regularly updated on the platform.

Represented artists also benefit from enhanced visibility via:

  • Publishing content (eg, interviews) relating to the artist on the platform (and in newsletters to clients)
  • Being featured (at IdeelArt's discretion) in various areas of the platform and on the homepage
  • Being showcased in innovative online 3D exhibitions.

Other services provided by IdeelArt

  • Free artwork delivery is funded by IdeelArt
  • Management of all payments and cash flows
  • All transactional or membership fees on other platforms, where relevant, are fully supported by IdeelArt.

There are no membership or joining fees. IdeelArt is remunerated purely by a fee charged on each transaction.

Artists handle their physical inventory and are responsible for professionally packaging their work; This reduces logistical issues, allows the artists to retain full control over their physical work and provides our clients with certainty over the originality of the artwork.

Shipping of the packaged artwork is fully funded, organised, and insured, by IdeelArt.

Represented artists normally join by exclusive invitation from IdeelArt. However, if you are interested in our unique digital representation services, please feel free to get in touch.
