About this Artwork
Ink was used to draw lines in the background echoing and emphasizing the grain of the linen.
The shapes and colors were found by playing with layers of colored paper to find a dynamic that felt right. The color is linked to thoughts about music.
The visual shape and color of sound are ideas that emerge in addition to thinking about the layering of sound as related to the layering of color.
