About this Artwork
The idea for this painting as well as its title came from a personal experience Audrey Stone had while taking a horse back riding lesson when the instructor told her that she was “riding with soft hands”, meaning making gentle transitions with the horse for movement.
Stone loved that expression and sought to express the gentle transitions through the color transitions in this painting.
